At St. Anthony Church, we believe all parishioners are ministers. Below you'll find opportunities to use your time and talents, combined with the collective resources of our parish, to participate in our church and serve the community.
Thanks to the unrivaled generosity of St. Anthony parishioners, 2020 was another banner year for the Toy Drive. It took five cars loaded to the hilt to deliver 292 toys, $500 cash, sleeping bags, books, and clothes to the families at Sacred Heart Nativity School and Martha's Kitchen. Not even online Masses and a pandemic could slow us down. The call went out for toys, and many responded with multiple gifts for those struggling during this difficult time. St. Anthony Outreach thanks you for your tireless devotion to helping others. Merry Christmas and God Bless.
The pandemic may have delayed the parish's annual Easter outreach to children at St. Joseph's Family Center, but love perseveres! Masked, socially-distanced volunteers assembled 436 Easter baskets that were delivered to the Center on July 18. Your kind donations put smiles on children's faces and made all of this possible. Thank you so much.
PASTORAL COUNCIL. The Pastoral Council serves to advise the pastor about pastoral issues and gives its help in fostering parish activity. It is consultative to the pastor, not legislative; it makes recommendations to the pastor. Our council meets on the last Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm. These meetings are open to all. Please feel free to attend and observe, and if you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to bring them up. We hope to see you then.
FINANCE COMMITTEE. The parish Finance Committee, required by Church law, aids and assists the pastor in overseeing the temporal welfare of the parish. Our group helps to advise the pastor with temporal and fiscal affairs, including maintenance of the annual operating budget and accounting. If you’re interested in offering your expertise, we’re always looking for new members. All members of the committee are appointed by the pastor.
