MASS TIMES
Peaceful Worship Setting. We think you'll find our worship environment to be as spiritually calming and peaceful as our rural Almaden setting. Once inside, the outstretched arms of Jesus on the risen Christ crucifix reach out to welcome you, reflecting our embrace of ALL people. And, our large baptistery windows offer a view of the surrounding hills that brings a heightened sense of God's beauty and serenity into the Mass environment.
Uplifting Mass and Thoughtful Homily. Like our warm, friendly community, you will find the tone of our Mass to be spiritual and reverent, but not stuffy or distant. We embrace Catholic teaching and Mass form, while being mindful that the Mass must connect with everyday people—just as Christ did—for it to be meaningful and relevant. Our worship music (led by singers, piano and guitars) tends to be on the contemporary side, whether soft or rhythmic, and also includes beautiful traditional songs when the season warrants. As you listen to Father’s homilies, you’ll find they quite often include a story, prompt you to reflect on your life and purpose, and offer guidance for growing closer to Christ.
OUTDOOR MASS
The St. Anthony community began celebrating Mass under this 200-year-old oak tree nearly 40 years ago, before the McKean church was built. On the first Sunday of the summer months we continue the tradition. We celebrate the 5:30 pm Mass under this same tree, located behind the McKean Road church. You and your family will love this experience!
